sad trailer hitch on my MC-5

I was suspicious of the trailer hitch on my new bus, so I took the bumper cover off to look.  "8,000 lb trailer - no problem"  sez PO.  It is a 2 foot long section of 1/4" C-channel with a receiver butt-welded to it, bolted to the middle of the stock cross-member.  i wouldn't tow a utility trailer with it.  he flat towed a jeep.

new hitch is on order...

Post some photos of the current hitch, and of the new one when you get it. There's been a discussion going on recently regarding hitch designs and perceived inadequacies of same. Sounds like your's might be a good addition to the thread.
