...looked at my turbo today, the turbine is loose...sounds and feelings like a bearing.  So i'm pretty much looking for a replacement, but dont have the money for a brand new one.  Anybody know of anyone/place that has a used one?  I also dont need the entire turbo, just the intake.  Thanks!

Why wouldn't you just have new bearings pressed on?  I think they call that "rebuilding".  That's is the only "wear" part. right?  Unless your ingested a crescent wrench :o :D

I was thinking that, my only concern is the fan has been rubbing against the housing quite a bit...

never hurts to shop ebay. I found a reliabuilt unit still sealed in plastic for just over $200 with shipping. they go for more but sometimes you get lucky.

If you have "time" before your next trip.   The center section can be rebuilt.    If the play is excessive the turbine wheel might be rubbing the inside of the turbine housing, and maybe you might have a slight compressor wheel rub.    Depending on the damage, a NEW center section might be a better option for dollars.   How is your turbine housing discharge flange?

Unless you know the history on the used turbocharger >  I wouldn't recommend installing it without looking it over.   It could quickly turn into your 7th injector, pumping oil into your engine..

Ebay and Pay Pal that is backed up with a credit card gives you more protection that a "downtown" purchase....me thinks.  YMMV
