mci ac compressor & belts

hello all
is the compressor suppose to bouce back and forth? i also has the two belts get shredded? is that from mis alignment.
The coach has the orig ac compressor and still blows cold. I was wondering if it is starting to fail.

Sounds like your pneumatic (air) cylinder that maintains proper belt tension has failed, and the flopping around has probably worn the belts. Pretty easy fix, usually.
