Well here's the list:

New larger Radiators, seals and mounts
I rebuilt my blower gear box with new seals and speedee sleeves
New squirrel cage seals and slightly used scrolls
Hi speed pulley
New rear door seals
New air filter and vacuum gauge
Top radiator strap mounts
new shorter blower gearbox drive belts
Neoprene gearbox saddle bushings
New surge tank bushings (Mazda shock bushing racing red!!)
All new nuts and bolts some stainless, some not

Sandblasted and painted all parts and the whole rear engine compartment.

Thanks for the help through this, especially the Gumpster and Brian Diehl. I am glad you live in Minnesota.

I am trying to attach some photo's using photobucket but so far all it does is get me mad. Well, here goes

You do understand that a clean and polished engine compartment just pisses off a Detroit engine no end.

A couple more pix.

Hey did I say how much I like Photobucket??? And how easy it is to use? So simple even a dork like me can do it...

Thanks to Jack Conrad.

Hey Rick,
Looks real nice. Kinda professional! Hope to meet you sometime; I'm out west toward Delano. I, like you have also utilized Brian and Craig for various projects. Real handy guys to have in your immediate circle of busnuts.

Hi yo silver

Wow!  That there is some purty bus parts.  Are the simple, idiot proof directions on how to use Photobucket in writing somewhere.  I've got to figure out how to post pics on here, somehow.  Cause I just am so smart ('cept when it comes to posting pictures) and have all this wonderful information that you guys need and are clammering for, that I need to post some pictures.  I know everything else, except for that one thing....:)

Hi yo silver

Oh, sorry.  I just found Jack's response to RickB regarding the photobucket instructions.  Now I'll go back and read 'em.

Thanks, Jack!

Awesome Rick!  Great progress you are making.  Keep up the work as the fun part is in front of you now (putting it together)!  :-)

Now that's the way it's supposed to look. That makes me want to get started on my blower section. It's on the list. You can come work in my aircraft restoration shop anyday. Keep up the good work,

Hey All,

I got her running bright and early this morning. Definitely gonna need the shutterstats working though.
I left it running for about a half hour and she barely raised 100 degrees.

I am not completely done but I can see the finish line...

Thanks to Brian Elfert for the riveter, Gumpy for the tagalong ride to Faribault for parts and Brian Diehl for driving over here last night with no notice just to help out.

I am blessed....

A diesel engine at idle isn't going to produce much heat.  My engine won't heat up at idle unless I crank the RPMs up with my cruise control.

The best test after you're satisifed there are no leaks is to actually drive the bus and monitor the temps.
