Chris, take oil samples that will give you the correct info for a oil change.The samples I take on mine a 8v92 they recommend every 12,000 miles yours may vary. And I do change mine every year regardless of mileage       good luck

on our 6v92 city buses we change the oil every 6000 kms.  mind you that's pretty hard running time

I once went 2 1/2 years between oil changes, and when I had the oil analysis done, said it still wasn't ready, but did it anyway.  Only way to tell is to do oil samplings.  12,000 miles is a good number though.  Good Luck, TomC
