It's colder than a snowbirds behind & the wind is blowing 30+MPH. We lost electricity last night in the campground about 11PM. Since I was already in bed & the heat automatically switched to batteries, I didn't get up & start the genny.

Got up this morning & started the genny & everything was fine... so I thought. When the electric came back on this afternoon, I switched back to pole power & shut the genny down. Not long after, the refrigerator started beeping & showing an error code of "AC rE" I soon found out Norcold will not talk to civilians so I got a friend in the business to call them & ask about the code. The book only says this problem is "not owner serviceable". They told him to reset the board but they could not tell him how to do that.  An hour on the internet yielded a repair manual for the Norcold & instructions for resetting the board. Once that was done, I figured everything was fine. Then I noticed the water pump cycling on about every 30 - 40 seconds. I soon had water seeping out from under the refrigerator. While it was off, the heater in the ice maker water line was off & it froze & burst. I just shut off the water until it warms up some. I can get all the ice I need just outside the door!

Sounds to me like a vote for drinking your scotch without ice.  Oh - wait - I already do that.

Is that why you didn't make it to the big Global Warming rally . . ?

I just checked the weather report & it says 26F today & windy, 12F tonight, 30F tomorrow....... but 60F FRIDAY!!!!! Yippppeeeee!

Hopefully, it's only the line that burst & not the water valve. I am sure that will be a 'non-user serviceable part" & have to be smuggled out of Taiwan or Mongolia by one-eyed midgets riding peacocks.

PS to Bobofthenorth: I'm not a drinking man but if I was, I would probably stay drunk all the time!  I do, however, like ice in my tea...
