Howdy, we're heading downstate for a doctors appointment in saginaw so what better excuse for a side trip to bontragers.  I'm going to pick up some windows for Dreamscape and then it's all about climbing over, under, and all thru the piles of goodies lol. I'm only bringing the truck with me but the box is empty and the topper is on and so are we lol.  This is like going into a candy store with a 50 cent piece from my gramma. I'm waiting for my daughter to finish packing the many suitcases she needs for a couple of days run, libby is staying at jamies to keep the kitties fed and happy, a very dangerous situation, me at bontragers, with a checkbook and no supervision, at least thats what libby is telling me.lol I'll have the laptop with me so watch for goodie postings lol.

Cody,

I'm looking for the bottom/interior part(s) to a Dometic Low Profile Roof AC unit.  It has a 6 pin in line power connector and a ribbon connector attachment to the "upper unit"/condenser/compressor.  If you get a chance....thanks for your offer.

I'm thinking about heading out that way this month or next.  My weekends are getting booked with work and yard work before it gets too cold.

I would probably spend $250 by the time I rent a minivan, pay for gas, and pay for hotel.  I am trying to decide if I would save enough on my purchases to make a $250 trip worthwhile.  I am looking for a driver's window and possibly a replacement motorhome door to replace the one I have.  My current motorhome door leaks a lot of air despite my efforts to fix.

I will need to sheet over the opening for the driver's window regardless so I can customize the opening to fit the window I buy.  I need to figure out how much a window from Motion windows would cost.

They have a massive inventory of windows of all kinds, they have hundreds of windows in all shapes and sizes but it's hard to say if they have the one you need, they also had racks of doors in all different configurations, again I don't know but after I got home from my last run I had spent just short of 500 and if I had bought at camping world or at motion for the windows and other stuff, it would have been over 3K.  Just an idea, I paid 20 bucks each for tinted thermopane sliders with screens, I paid 65 bucks for a complete 92 inch Joey Bed for my bay,  a 6 piece set of corian countertops that included a table top and the corian sink was 35 bucks total, a moen faucet set that libby had fallen in love with at lowes was 175 at lowes, 12 bucks at bontragers, motion had quoted me 399 each for my windows.  The stuff is all new, not salvaged, all new but surplus.  To me it's well worth the expense of the trip to save that much but you have to buy enough, somehow I manage to do that lol.

Cody,

Inside they have a duct affair that also has the ON/OFF...Fan speed....temp controls with the plugs that go to the exterior unit.  This is the assy that has the BIG screws through that holds all to the roof.  Then there is a plastic shroud that covers it all.

Thank you Cody.  I know it would be some trouble to ship this to me and I appreciate your even being willing to consider it.

"What is bontragers? Where is it?"

there are a number of surplus stores in the elkhart, Indiana area that have "surplus" items from all the RV factories in the area.  stove, frig, a/c, nuts, bolts, lights, water lines, etc.  Bontrager's is Cody's favorite, but there at least 5 good places to rummage though looking for parts, within a 20 mi area.  Trina's downtown has all sorts of tanks, lights, furniture.  you just need to make a list of what you need, gather up all the money you can becuase you'll find more that you "need" when you get there.

i'm sure somebody has a list of actual address for these places.  i do somewhere if no one has an easier to find list.

Christmas ia over and I'm slowly dragging myself and a load of booty back home, my daughter says the only part of the truck that I didn't fill is the glove compartment lol.  I got a bunch of goodies for the bus, lots of really cool lighting, kinda a burnt bronze color, I had seen them in a prevo and really liked them, I got a whole box of them in different shapes.  I got dreamscapes windows, or at least most of them, they only had 4 left in the size we needed so I grabbed them, I couldn't get the same sales guy so I had to pay more than I wanted but thats ok I guess, 40 bucks a piece for a window marked 399 is a decent savings anyway. I treated libby to a new washer dryer combo, the one we had was an unvented model and this one is vented, libby wanted a vented one, I'm not sure what the differnce is but I got it anyway,  don't tell anyone but I also bought a big pile of rosewood formica, really nice stuff, yep a sawdust piler with laminate lol.  John, they have a bunch of the lower units for dometic a/c units but they need the model number of the one you have cause they are all difffernent.  I got a bunch of really nice stuff, enough to keep me entertained for a while lol.  The doctor visit didn't go well but thats a different topic for a different day, I'm still trying to figure out all the stuff he said, anyway, were sitting right now in a hotel room in Mackinaw City, the nicest room I've ever seen, it's even got a phone and tv in the potty lol, gold plated fixtures in the tub, even got a gold plated flush handle on the toilet, now thats living good lol, we tryed to get into a days inn but they had over booked so they shuttled us to this one for the same 57 bucks lol, even got a balcony lol, the door says 350 a night lol, I'm enjoying this lol. Anyway, we'll be home later today, life is good lol.
