Not much on the front to install a alternator the muffler hides the only pulley guess you could run off the ac drive from the fan drive, there is one left on the rear but has no drive and those are impossible to find what I am trying to tell you Brandon you are just about stuck with your set up the way the power steering ,compressor and  the alternator are mounted on the 4905

good luck

Clifford, that's what I was afraid of. Hopefully if I put a reman 50dn on there it will be trouble free for the rest of my bussing. Should have looked into it last year when we inframed it.

... which seems to be a great deal if it is really a new alt.
It says right in the listing that it is a reman.  But it is still a great deal because there is no core charge; you can easily pay that much even with a core.

What about using the fiber gear instead of the steel gear to prevent a lockup in the future?

Well the magic of this board shines through again! Just wanted to post an update that after replacing the 50dn and repairing a wiring mess........ my bus is back together and safely home again!! No gear damage form the alt. falling off.

A big thank you to Lin!! He hooked me up with a perfectly good (rebuilt awhile ago, but not installed) 50dn alternator. Thanks again Lin.
