Symptoms for Stuck/overfueling injector

What are the symptoms of a stuck or overfueling injector? Anything I can look for while driving or physically look at that would indicate a problem?

A stuck injector you will lack power till the engine reaches the point where it is stuck at above or below it will miss,shoot all 6 exhaust ports on the manifolds with your IR gun that will tell a you lot they should all be the same +or- 5 degrees

You might have a blown tip Sean. Loss of power, rough running and black smoke under pretty much any acceleration.

which would put raw fuel in the exhaust.... causing high heat in the turbo.

but your turbo is not free spinning ?

Don,

Ill take a video tomorrow. It spins but not freely like a bike wheel. Maybe a revolution and a half.

Talking to a mechanic today and he said if the Turbo was freshly rebuilt it was a very slim chance there would be an issue with it sans completely locking up with no oil. He mentioned excess fuel from an injector could cause similar issues as to what I am experiencing.

Mark-

If I pull the valve covers will there be any tell tale signs?

Also - would the broken tip damage the cylinder/valve?

Sorry Cliff - I missed this. I will run it tomorrow and shoot it. Thanks for the tip (ha!)

I did notice a slight loss of power in the mountains and additional heat. So climbing grades I should have been able to pull at 44-46 mph in 3rd I was having to drop to second and pull at top RPMs at 38mph to keep it cool and had a slight.loss of power.
