air throttle advice

I have to replace the throttle cable in my MC-5C and Luke is having a hard time finding one for me.  I know I can go get a custom control cable built but I have thought I should consider an air throttle.  Any advice on what/who to get?  Is there an issue  with engine speed control coordinating with a Spicer 4 speed to shift?

I worked for a while with a guy who was stretching Eagles to 45'.  We would have new cables made up to order from a supply house in Tampa.  Just about any length and any end fittings you want.

Personally, I would avoid an air throttle with a stick shift.  You just don't get that instant throttle response you like when down shifting.

It's the throttle response that I was concerned about.  I just called my race car guy, he said drop off the old one and he'll have a new one in four days...  He has a local supplier.  Who knew?  I should have thought to call my race car parts guy for a new throttle cable for a 30 year old bus, shame on me for not thinking of that
