Somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to remember seeing a battery charger for a boat maybe that mounted on the wall. Where can I get something like this. It would save some floor space in my bay.
Thanks in advance!

Those are Mariner Chargers any marine dealer will have it about 150.00 to 600.00 bucks depending on the amps and you can charge 3 battery banks at one time good product for marine use but I have seen very few in conversions.FWIW you can mount the Iota charger on the wall I have one for backup in case the inverter charger goes south again   have a great evening

Those boat chargers work fairly well BUT the ones you've probably seen are usually ferroresonant types that have a reputation for killing batteries in the long run.  The hitch is that they aren't 3-stage, they don't do equilization, and they aren't temperature compensated.

That said, I've had a LOT of batteries for my various projects, some are in busses, some sit in the shop all year waiting for BurningMan, and some just sit.  I've tried quite a few different brands of chargers, float chargers, etc and my personal opinion is that the VERY BEST you can get for the money is inteli-power converters with the "charge wizard" option.  These have consistantly kept batteries of mine happy for as much as 6 years because they do all the right things with little or no attention necessary.

Just my 2 cents worth... get an intelipower and a charge wizard, not a boat style charger!!!!

I have a marine charger that will charge 3 banks. I left it plugged on when I was traveling, was gone for about one week, came back and found that it boiled two rv Walmart bats and killed two group 31 starter bats. I tried to revive the rv ones, they were beyond repair. The two sealed group 31's I kept thinking that I can revive them, so far I'm not having any luck.

boogiethecat is right, stay away from marine type and get the intelipower with a charge wizard.

Still learnin'

Charles,I have a Promariner (model 1250 or 1260) in my boat the older ones were like any charger of the time but the new ones have more control than any charger on the market,I would have bought one for the coach instead of the Iota if it wasn't for the price best chargers on the market   have a great day
