I just wanted to rub in the fact that I spent the whole day yesterday, uh, mingling around behind the scenes with some really good talent and getting to know some good BG players. I talked in length with band members of

"Southern Star Bluegrass Band"

"FootHill"

and most of all...

"Cody Shuler and the Pine Mountain Railroad"

What a great group of talented guys and we talked buses too as they drive a 102A painted a very bright red with black trim.

They left Knoxville TN. late Friday and arrived in Largo Fl about 3pm Saturday. They played at 8pm for about 45 minutes and had a show in Nashville this morning at the convention center at 10:30 am. Sure hope they made it ok as that is a LOT of running in a short period of time! Oh and if anyone ever wants to hear what I consider the best voice in BG, you have to check out the lead singer of this group. Purely second to none IMHO!

All of these groups have web sites so check them out!

We had a LONG tiring but enjoyful day yesterday so today is rest day!

Next Friday is Martina McBride in Tampa so maybe we'll have more to post! :)

See Ya!

that's right Ace, Just rub it in!

One of these day's I hope you park entirely too close to an Eagle..

Not really, I don't want Buddy going crazy looking for his dinner.

Parking too close to an Eagle? That doesn't bother me much! I used to own one and I still like them a lot, and besides my bus is well insulated so it keeps out a lot of noise like stuff hitting the ground during the late night and all!  ;)

Niles Niles Niles! Give it a break dude! You don't owe me anything! All I did was what any other bus nut would have done and that is help a guy in need! I have made it a practice to never want something in return for doing a good deed! I have too many so called friends (not in the bus world) that look for anything they can get any way they can get it. I guess that's why I never ask them for much help anymore! They make me feel obligated at times!
If someone calls me and needs something, and I have it or can get it, or do it for them, I am more than happy to offer my assistance and I won't be looking for a return favor! I thought I told you that! LOL Yes, I remember, I did in fact say that to you! Besides, there are only a couple that I know of that I wouldn't give the time of day to. My ex wife comes to mind for one!  ::)

Ace - that all is true - but I can't let a good deed go unpunished  ;D - I've owed you a meal at CDB's for years - You will not eat the shipping/handling costs - and I still have your parts - Now you can humor me or one day you'll show up to your house and there will be a box of parts, some cash, and a fresh CDB special sitting on your doorstep  ::) - but I'd really rather aggravate you in person  :D

Niles, i happen to know personally that any gratuitous favors that Ace has done are simply payment for the vast number of problems he has cuased in one way or another.  i think i heard that even the Bermuda Triangle was caused becuase he forgot to plug somehting in.

he probably has to do good deeds for people like you and me just to keep some Arch-angel from hauling him away to the netherworlds.

ace, when are you going to start doing any good deeds to help me.  you didn't even call to help when a hurricane hit us poor unprepared souls in Ohio.  i always offer you Florida guys a temporary home. :(

i'm envious of your BG festivals and interviews.  We saw some up here this summer, but now its too cold to have them outside.  Pray for drops in Diesel so we can go south soon.

Ok Tom you win! I promise that whenever there is a hurricane anywhere near you or Fran, wherever you may be at the time, we will always have room for you here at our house, with electric, and I will even do your laundry during your stay here!

Now you KNOW how I do laundry, so that's a deal that you can't pass up! Wouldn't you agree?  :P
