I have a shifter cable to change or free up?.Its a 740 auto in a Mc9. Its the cable from shift lever to tranny it is very hard to shift at lever but is ok at tranny. Cable is probably rusted up . Is there anyway to free it up if not how difficult is it to change. Any thoughts or suggestions out there TIA  Gary

Do I remember seeing a grease zerk in the shifter assembly somewhere?

My parts bus has developed the same problem... I'll have a look next time I'm local to the bus.

happy coaching!

Thats awesome if there is a zerk.  If there isn't I bet this stuff is the cats meow for that application.  http://www.kanolabs.com/  Its called "penophite" it is graphite penetrating oil combined with this http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/205/4838/ITEM/Motion-Pro-Cable-Luber.aspx?SiteID=CSE_GBase_205&WT.mc_ID=80003&zmam=88421133&zmas=1&zmac=2&zmap=4838 and you shouldn't have any trouble.  I have used their regular penetrating oil and haven't broken an exhaust manifold bolt since the first can. Simply amazing stuff!
