I have this toilet in my bus but i don't know any thing about it!

Is it 12 v DC or 120 a/c

It did not have the water connected to it when i started, and the fuse in the top of it is missing.  I don't find any power coming to it but i am not sure what i should be looking for.  As I don't have any 12 dc going yet.

There is no holding tank only electric valves and switches.

The make and any thing else would be a big help to know.

Still learing about this thing.  I did figure out that the breaker marked furnace was not a furnace but the other A/C unit I had not gotten working yet.  I took a couple hours and worked on figuring out and labeling the breaker box today and I have a better idea what all but 3 of the breakers go to now.

Bob, that a Mircophor and they are 12v or 24v be careful with the flushing mechanism expensive to replace  there is no water in the tank it's on demand 1 or 2 quart flush     good luck

Bob Gil

Are they any good or should I consider looking into replacing it?

I am going to have to find out what fuse it needs and if it is still in working condition.

I guess i need to get power and water to it before I do any thing drastic.

Damn Yankee

It looks like it could be a recirculating toilet. They have a round screen in the center where your waste is held and the water without the waste around the outside of the screen where it's pumped to the rim to flush. I use one in my mini motor home cause it has a very small black tank. I put in around 5-7 gallons of water with chemical and will be ok for around 4 days before it starts to smell. They use them in party buses and such where their is no room for tanks.....They are $500-$600 new....

I think Luverbus was right about the make it has a fresh water hose going to it and it sets ontop of the toilet holding tank.

I looked up thier web site and I found one that looks like the one I have.

Thanks Luverbus, nobody I had ask about it had ever seen one of them before.

Bob you can download a manual from Microphor I have had one for years far better than most RV toilets but mine is not a recirculating  that's a expensive toilet for RV's keep it put vasoline on the seal and soften it up you can buy a new seal I think I paid 7 bucks for 1- 3 years ago   good luck

Bob,

I have a Microphor in my Eagle. I love it.  I was able to buy a rebuild kit directly from them. Here is a link to a listing of toilets

http://www.microphor.com/html/2quart_DC-rec.html

I was able to rebuild the flapper unit of mine for about $70 and the floats and all of the other parts are rather simple to cleanup. There is a fuse directly on the control panel so dont over look that if it doesn't flush. If you pull apart the flapper unit - take serious note of the position of the gear arms and such (a digital photo would help) after rebuilding mine I had the gear turned halfway in the wrong direction and exploded the plastic gear, a quick call to Micophor and the new part came in without a hitch... They even have a tech support number if you need someone to walk you through the install / rebuild.

Hope this helps.

Will be away from our bus for a while :(

Thanks I will see if I can create a 12 dv system and see if I can get these 12 v dc items working.

Bob, to test some of your 12 volt items before you redo the entire system -- would an el cheapo Radio Shack, or model railroad transformer work?  I use a model railroad transformer that I've had for years, when I'm working on stuff in the garage.

I use a group 24 battery (from my tractor) and a couple jumper wires for testing.  Battery is small enough to carry and big enough to power any 12 volt item.  Jack

Bob; if you decide not to use the toilet I will buy it for a reasonable price and have someone pick it up  have a great day

gumpy

I originally purchased another brand toilet, but didn't feel it would work for my family's needs, so sold it to a friend and purchased a Microphor. It was almost 10 times the $$$ I had spent on the former, but was one of the best high dollar
decisions I have made on my bus. I suggest you figure out how to make it work.

make it work???  i figured just lift the lid, unzip and water it down  ::)

Radio Shack sells a 12 volt transformer with screw lugs and lighter plug for 39.95.  we use them to power antennas when we test them.

I am planing on making it work thanks for all the advise.

I have only just begun with the 12v dc system so i am sure I will get to it soon and see what it will need to get it in working order.

Many thanks to all.
