Does anyone have experince with the installation of reniassance fiberglass breast panels on a 102C3.

I purchased the panel from R&M fiberglass and I am looking for advise before I start cutting and hacking to make it fit.

I am wondering if this is a one size fits all or if I mistakenly got the wrong panel.

If I line the headlights up with the breast plate where they should be mounted then there is nowhere to rivit the fiberglass too along the bottom and the fiberglass is more than 2" away from the the windshield area and I can't rivet up there either.

If I adjust it up or down then there is nowhere to mount the headlights without cutting out some major structure.

I can't seem to reach anyone at R&M for the past week.

Any suggestions

I know this doesn't help your situation but back when I had my Eagle, I installed a R&M dash and I think I cut more off just to make it fit than they sent me!
I think from what others have stated in the past regarding caps that you will more than likely be doing the same thing just to MAKE it fit!

The R&M dash we purchased for our MC-8 had to be trimmed to fit as did our rear cap and front cap (Note: the fiberglass caps were another brand, not R&M).  It seems most fiberglass parts require some trimming.  Jack

I installed a fiberglass breastplate I purchased for our 01 Eagle from R&M Fiberglass. I installed the breastplate this past May. This may or may not help you but here goes. By the way Richard may be on a vacation, normally his wife answers the phone.

After receiving the breastplate I clamped it on the location and stepped back to take a look see. I marked and trimmed several times to get it to fit properly. Richard leaves quite a bit of room in manufacturing his pieces for cut and fit. It turned out pretty good, but it also took some time to make it fit properly.

Take your time, it's always best to measure twice and cut once. ;D

I know this is a differant application but I hope it helps some.

If you have any questions, ask them. ;)

I noticed his MCI is on eBay. He did one bang up job on his coach with all the fancy fiberglass add ons.

Sorry to hijack alltech! Have you seen his coach? I'm not sure which model he has though.

Back to the question.

This fiberglass breast plate seems as if i dosen't have enough fiberglass on it on the sides and the bends in the breast plate are in the wrong spots and force the plate away form the windshield instead of coming in close enough to rivet along under the windshield.

Can you post a picture of what it looks like?

On ours the width was wider than what it sould have been by about two inches. I had to trim the upper lip on the fiberglass quite a bit in order for the bottom edge to rest against the fluted aluminum siding.

It was quite a chore to fit the thing I admit.

At the bottom of my posts you can click on the link for Dreamscapeeagle and see some pictures of the installation.
