Already good answers here.  Two (2) things again.  This may be a situation where your personal agent may be able to help you bind your Bus Conversion.  Also, like others have already said,...Progressive Insurance specializes in this kind of stuff..  $Costly$, but doable.

They insured my '74 Crown Super Coach 40-foot 10-wheeler ex-schoolie.  Yeah, again do not say the words "conversion"   or "homedone/made".  In my case my Crown had less than 1000 miles on it since a CA CHP school bus inspection.  Good luck.

I used Progressive Direct.

No hassles, over the phone, insured it for what I wanted, cash value.

Gave them the VIN number and they knew exactly what it was.

No claim experience, so I can only speak of there willingness and helpfulness on getting MY money, not paying out THERE's

my problem started a couple of years ago. i had a van and motorhome
with them allstate. i sold the van and let them know , yet they said that i still
had coverage on it for the next few months to the total of 150 plus
dollars. i wouldn't pay them so they wouldn't insure the next van i got,
but i had the motorhome still with them,  somekind of oversite the
policy on the motorhome elasped on june of this year, when i called them this week they told me that they would not carry it because of
the 30 day period had elasped, so i started the process of trying to get
coverage on the motorhome/bus/ conversion. but i never had an claim
so i don't know if they would have paid good anywey. hope this makes
sence.  thanks jt.
