Air compressor govnor problem

Bob all I can tell you if you do not have the remote kit #56401B you can not remote mount the govneror and make it work  have a great day

can you tell what that kit might contain?

#56401B Is that a bendix numbre or NAPA?

Had small engine fire and had no 12 volt system at time of purchase.

That looks about right plugs to plug the ports that are not needed (I did that).

Bracket to mount it to the firewall (not as fancy but i did that).

fittings so the hoses can go to right angles(I did not need to do that).

I don't see any thing in the kit that would be much different from what I have.  O maybe the price, since i only had to buy the 4 plugs, the rest was already there.

Thanks, I couldn't remember for sure which direction to turn it but remembered that at the time it seemed backwards to me.

My 4104 originally had a remote gov mount with an old type gov so I guessed at the connections for the new type and it worked fine. As I remember the new type gov ports were well marked so when the in and out ports were connected that only left one for the small line back to the comp. I assumed this was the "signal" line to the comp to tell it when to shut off or turn on.

I went to bendix.com and printed the instructions for replaceing it and they now call that port the unloading port as it unloads the valve that makes the compressor work.
