ENGINE FULL OF FUEL!!!!!

  Everyone,

  I have an 8V-92(Natural) yes, natural.  Started it up within the last hour and noticed fuel dripping from the oil pan.

Looked closer and it was running out through the oil pan gasket.  I turned and checked the dip stick and it was about 5-6 inches above the full mark.  This engine  has 22,000 miles on a out of frame.  Does anyone have a idea on what has happen?

Looks like a broken injector line dumping fuel into the engine, time for a look see.>>>Dan

fuel leaking under the rocker covers. Broken fuel jumper to get that much fuel, more than likely.

Pull the covers and have a look around.

Most likely as said above! Also could bea set of injectors gone south! I had an 8V92TA DDEC thaqt did the same thing 6 out of 8 injectors showed to be bad! Then later I tlked to the guy where we bought the new ones and found out all 8 were trash! Not even able to be rebuilt! Ran great after replacing those. I'd be getting it checked out soon! And don't run it either, with that much fuel in the oil it won't take no time to wash out some bearings! FWOW   BK

 Steve you have a broken injector line use the old 2 stroke guys trick and check every one tap it with a wrench if it doesn't ping replace it and please don't try a make 1 out of copper

Not necessarily! The one we had sound great, ran great, but was literally pouring oil out around the middle and pumping it into the head and running down into the oil pan !

Steve a ddec 8v92 has different  injectors than a mechanical engine fwiw

  Man. So sorry to hear about this. I feel your pain. Hope you can figure it out and fix it without too much trouble.

  I just picked mine back up today. I guess I'm going to just sit her here till I get some of the loose ends cleaned up, and then find her a new friend.

What about a failed fuel pump seal?   High pressure primer pumps will damage fuel pumps.  And, as happens, maybe the seal just failed?
Or, a loose or broken jumper.  That wouldn't have any effect on the running engine...other than maybe a miss on startup that would clear up quickly. 
Pull the valve covers and you may be able to see a 'washed' down area if a jumper is cracked or loose.  Jumper fittings should be carefully torqued when installing.  Easily damaged, and they'll leak (return) into the engine crankcase.
If the engine isn't blowing black smoke, or missing, IMHO, the injectors are working normally....?
I've never seen an 8V92N in OTR service?   Sounds like a genset or stationary engine?

JR: the fuel pump will leak from the weep holes if the seal is bad not to the inside on a DD 

FWIW the green 92 series for OTR was about 50%N and 50%T and with the sliver it was 25/75 Greyhound had a bunch of 892N in the 70s the 8v92n is still a good option for a repower from a 71n series
