I have the latch on the main bus door that has decided to break.
Upon further inspection it looks like the previous owner had rigged it up to open from the inside with
some small diameter galv cable to "pull" the mechanism to draw the bolt back into the door when exiting.
The Manufacture is  "A.L. Hansen" and I have tried to see about ordering the missing part but with no success on getting a call back, as of yet.
I may have to replace the entire mechanism to make this work at this point as opening the window to use the outside latch is getting old.
Any good leads on what to get to be able to replace the entrance door latch?
This is on a 83 Eagle.
Thanks for any leads.

Hi Phil,

This is what I use on our Eagle 01.

http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-locks/rv-door-lock.htm

You can also do a search on the net and locate more suppliers.

I bought a new one last year but can't remember who it was. (CRS)
;D
Hope this helps,

Paul

Thanks Paul, I will look mine over to see if that one will work.

Chariotdriver....a picture of your latch will greatly help to locate the source.

A. L. Hansen website does not show everything they market in the pass or whatever reason.

Phil, when you have time go to a truck wrecking yard and buy a door latch from a Pete or KW the RV latches don't hold up and they are expensive I have the same latch as Paul but converting over to the truck latch also a Jeep door latch will fit the hole perfect  good luck
