mc9 batteries

Hi folks, one of my 8D strarter batteries shorted out. I do not have any of the original ac or heater componets. Do I need to replace the starter batteries with 8D or can I use two truck batteries. Thanks,  Tom

Ttom, if you live in cold country stay with your 8Ds in the south go with group 31s but I would use a 3 not 2 low cranking amps will ruin a starter fast make that 4 for a 24 v system
