Interior side walls, insulation and roofing felt mositure barrier?

Folks, I have completed the interior walls that both cover and insulate the interior. Of course there are small gaps that are open between the sheets of insulation. I would like to cover the interior side walls with 30lb roofing felt to both seal the gaps and provide one smooth surface for the installation of cherrywood veneer.

Any thoughts on the pros and cons of the 30lb felt? It is not asphalt and does not smell.

I am wondering about moisture and so forth.  Anybody done this already in their conversion?

Thanks

Grant,

I used 15lb felt on the walls in my Eagle back in 2000.  No problems, but I've never opened the wall up since.  I used it for sound deadening behind my 1/2 plywood substrate.  No smell, it is pretty much inert as far as my experience with it.

David, thanks for the input. I was planning on 30lb but may reconsider 15lb.

I also used 15lb felt under the wallboard and floorboard.

No problems. (although it's been in place only about a year.)

Regards.
