Do any of you Bus Nuts know what hubs are on a 1982 model 10 Eagle??? I need the "WEBB" or "ROCKWELL" part number. The Eagle part number will not cross. I need these numbers on the steer and drive axles. Thanks in advance!!!

Bill, call Hector Jr at CHF in Dallas 1-800-373-2453 he is probably  the only one that sells Eagle parts that will cross it over for you  but you may get lucky and Norris will do it  also try crossing it over with Meritor for the rear  good luck

Bill, I am not sure what the Silver Eagle folks are doing for the new buses.  They are going to disc brakes  and maybe hub piloted.  They might have the parts you want.  I would guess that it is going to cost you a ton of money.  You could try them at:  http://www.silvereaglebus.com/

Why are you wanting to change?  The bud wheels are still easily available, and I have not heard of any issues with them.  Having said that, you do have to be careful to check the wheels for for cracking around the bolt circle.  I had a used one crack.

Jim, I like the idea for guys like us doing our own work 10 nuts on the rear is better than removing 20 to get the inside off. Hal was the first I saw using it on his Eagle years ago and if Bill would contact him he has the info to do the swap.I don't know about you but for some reason that 1" impact is getting heavier as each year passes

I have had several problems with the stud piloted wheels. I want the hub piloted wheels for several reasons including an endless supply of tires and 20 rims at my disposal. I am on the right track for the hubs. I think I may have located the steer and bogie hubs. I am just looking for the drive hubs now.

Luvrbus, do you have the other guy's contact info???

Bill, his # is in the Eagle roster he is the one that has the 600 hp s60 engine you looked at in Quartszite  Hal StClair and with you having so many hub piloted wheels don't forget about your Eagle buddies wanting to convert   good luck

before you go to the expense and trouble....check what your tire RPM is going to be and it's effect on speed/acceleration etc.

Doug I don't know where you going with this but a 22.5 or a 24.5 10 hole bud wheel is going to be the same rpm regardless of what hub you use

tekebird

I thought the poster had said 20 inch wheels

Anyway......it's not worth the expense and trouble in my opinion.  22.5's are not all that rare.....and for the maybe 2sets someone might buy in thier lifetime.....

but to each thier own....

sivrtnge2

The only expense I will have is 1200.00 for the 6 hubs. This will save me thousands of dollars in tire savings alone. I have done the math more than once. I will make my money back plus some "If" I decide to sell off some of my wheels and tires ;D!!!
