How did you attach your ceiling panels?

I was looking through some older posts yesterday, how did you attach your ceiling panels, and I noticed several looked like they did not use any screws or they were hidden if they did.  I also noticed that many used furring strips to cover their seams.  The most impressive ceiling installation was Ron Walkers(prevost82), he used foam covered with either vinyl or leather, I am not sure which one!  I guess my question would be if you sized your ceiling panels and broke the area up with different elevations the possibility to use velcro stripping to hold your panels on, I know that sounds pretty weak but if your ceiling grid is on either 16" or 24" centers and the support steel is two inches wide would that be sufficient to hold the panels up? Some of this new velcro is pretty strong stuff.   If this is possible then it would always give you easy access to your wiring in the ceiling for future add on's or repairs!  I've also give thought to using panel fasteners like the automobile industry uses.......!   Feel free to hurt feelings.......I've been married for 28 years I can handle it!

  Pat, ask Ace on the BNO.  He used some kind of hidden clip to hold up his paneling.
  It might be shown on his website (I believe he has one) I remember him asking about them, then he posted that he found some and later posted pics. of the clips and installation.

(28 years,  yeah but you wife works, at least you get a break while she's at work, mine wouldn't work and was home when I got home. I even bought her a new car every few years and she wouldn't leave).

Hi Pat,

I used 3M Duel Lock, kind of an industrial Velcro but is more ridgid and very hard to pull apart.

I believe ACE used a plastic doubble ended barbed fastener simular to automotive door panel fastners.

Both work well. My next bus will Not have ceiling panels.... Instead, I will construct a much thicker structure held with screws and

covered with laminate or wood finish! Both the Duel Lock and the barbed fastner seem to only work for limited times of removal.
