If your talking about a campground do Bayou Segnette State Park close to everything and reasonable rates enjoy the food in NO best in the world
St Bernard State Park is closer to NO but the traffic from the boats and cars will keep you awake at night also its a small park 

forgot to tell you rates 18.00 day or 9.00 a day with the golden age pass


ONRWEY9  if you go on the web for LA STATE PARKS you will find several in the NO area and they are all nice parks but I just prefer Segnette my self
