Speedometers and such.....

I recently posted that my Dixson Speedometer was off by about 10% (by my GPS) and while I was in Fort Lauderdale I stopped at a place which specializes in that type of gear and had an intelligent discussion with the gentleman who owns the company.  It seems that my problems aren't necessarily universal in that he talks with many Motor Home owners with similar problems.

I suggested that he drop in on the Board, not as a Vendor (unless he talks with MAK) but just as an interested party (I really think he might be a bus wannabe at heart) and read about our questions and consider becoming a member.

For my salvation he's got a VDO Speedo that can be programmed with my current milage and run over his measured mile and set to be "on the money".

He got my attention!

I'm using the VDO speedo that he is talking about. It uses the stock front wheel pickup, and is dead acurate after programing to a measured mile, and getting the air gap right by trial and error on the pickup.    Donn
