Hi folks, a lot of folks out there seem to want to see the progress on out conversion.
How is a good low cost way to do that?  Hopefully something I can type in the information and download photos to.
Thanks in advance!

Jack,

I did it in reverse order for about $19 a year. You can post as many as you want, write a short description about each, and configure the way they are displayed.
Here are mine, going back to 2003... http://www.zoto.com/site/#USR.jsbird69::PAG.lightbox::ORD.date_uploaded::DIR.desc::OFF.0

Hope that helps.

Blogspont.com is free and all you have to do is download some software to upload your pictures, there are many different types of layouts you choose which you want its hard to beat that........I've been using their site since April of 2005. I don't make a penny from them.  It's all free. Just check the link at the bottom of the page and click on it then at the bar at the very top there is a link "create blog" it doesn't get any easier than that!

The second week of Jan this site, should have a link for both showing off your photos as well as short video clips. You will be able to post in 3 catogories. 1 will be your bus projects, one will be your campgrounds and the other bus repairs and modifications. So start saving your photos and making those short video clips.

Wow that sounds great!!! I can't wait to see this roll across our screens. This is one of the reasons I think this is the best Bus Board today, it just keeps getting better.

Way to go MAK.

I third that! I really like to see pictures of other's ideas and concepts. I have taken stuff from Gumpy for two years. My friends think I am a genus. I do give credit when pushed by the media to reveal my sources!!!! Happy New Year. ;D ;D ;D

Larry's post made me wonder, with the size restraints on the photos be the same Mike?
Not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth, however every site I post on has no restaints but this one.  Most of my photos are bigger than what you allow?
Thanks

Looking forward to the new features. I agree; hope there are no size restrictions.

I was going to let this one go (try to be very diplomatic ;D), but there is a reason to restrict photo size.

Many of us are on the road, and we don't always have broadband connection (we are lucky to have a DataStorm, but even there it gets pretty slow at times).  Trying to look at a large photo file at dial-up connection speed is very frustrating.

I have a large number of photos on my bus project pages (http://www.rvsafetysystems.com/busproject.htm).  I try to keep all of these photos to less than 150 KB (most are less than 100 KB).  Plus, I present most of them in a thumbnail format, so the page loads reasonably quickly, even on a slow speed connection.  If you look at the large version of the photos, you will see that they yield good resolution.  Reducing the file size is a bit frustrating, but not all that hard to do and there are many software programs (some free) that will let you resize the photo easily.

With today's cameras you can take photos with huge resolution (and large file size).  That is great if you are going to blow the photo up to a huge size, but you do not need anything over 100 KB on the web.  If you look, most commercial website use images that are less than 20 KB (right click on the photo and ask to save it - you will see the size).

There are lots of sites that restrict your photo size.  Unless eBay has changed, they severely limit the size of photos you post.

Jims post reminded me why I chose to pay Zoto to host my pics. There is no size limit for your pics, nor a limit on how many pics you can post. I load them straight out of my memory chip, into my pictures folder, then choose the one's to upload to Zoto.

If you've seen my pics, you'll notice that you can view any size of the image, from the original, on down to email size.
