I will soon be redoing my vanity and mediine cabinet area. I was at the big lumber yard looking at the med cabinets they have but will probably make my own. I am wondering what has worked well for those of you that have already done this, to hold the mirror doors closed while OTR? Have you used the magnetic catches; friction catches; bungees? If you know of something that works well, i would appreciate a name or part number.

I used supermagnets everywhere possible. They are available in every imaginable size, and will never wear out or break.

Works for me.

I don't know how ours work but man they work great.  They are some kind of magnetic job except that you push to release them.  So you push the door shut and it latches.  The next time you push it releases but the catch mechanism is definitely magnetic.

Since I am going for the old cabin look, I will just use a loop and hook arm.  I did use a hair "band" of my wife's and a screw once as a temp.
