Bus Repair in Kansas?

Does anyone have a place they would recommend having work done in Kansas?  I don't mind traveling to Kansas City or Wichita.  My ride is a 76 MCI 8. I had planned on doing all repairs at home, but I would like to get a jump on a couple of things like air bags, gauges & steering.  I would also like a reasonable inspection.
Any Kansas busnuts around?
Thanks,
Coop

Jack,
I knew Sam had some parts.  He does repair work also?  Rantoul is 10 miles from my inlaws!

tekebird,
Thanks for the link.  I will call around.  That place is near the edge of the earth!  Looks like a good place though.

Your request is just another good reason why EVERY busnut should have an on-board copy of "The Bus Garage Index", printed by the publishers of Bus Ride, an industry trade magazine.  Probably the best $40 you'll ever spend on your coach.  Lists garages, addresses, phone numbers and contact personnel for companies all over the US and Canada.

Available directly: www.busride.com  Link to order is in the LH window.

I have no affiliation with BusRide, but are familiar with them from my years of being part of the bus industry.

unfortunatley I think you will find the days of old are gone and the majority of listings in the garage index will not work on Private COaches.

Why?

Two reasons.  maybe three.

Insurance limitations

They don't know you from adam or if you can pay. they might not know a bus company that calls but that is a small world and those who don't pay soon lose all suport...then go out of business

there are alot of private coaches out there that are nightmares...and nobody likes working on them.

It's always good while traveling to make some pit stops and meet people.......when My dad was using my 4104 ( before I got it, he would stop all ovver the place........not needing anything, just to intro himself and the bus.

Now we never needed it but in the condition it was in  nobody that has or would have seen it would likely turn down working on it.

even stuff as small as Tires.  Running matching Michilins on your coach vs  some korean brand......that can make the difference alot of the time

I know he installs the integral power steering units on the MC--8s.  So I am assuming (oh, I hate to use that word) he can do some repairs. Jack
