the differences of eagle model crowns in their "stock" form

I have heard the thing about the heat and sunlight coming in through the windshield and of course that would be something to consider. I am just thinking in a purely cosmetic way. Having that big flat empty spot about the windshield seems like too much to me. I search the internet daily for pictures of converted Eagles and apparently I am missing something. I just don't find too many sites. I am a member of a few Eagle Yahoo groups. I may see what some folks on them say. I may be completely wrong about the way it would look raised with stock windshields. Thanks for the responses.

Songman, I am not putting the taller glass in my o5.  Eagle in Texas is adding 7 in to the flat above the windshield and when I get it home I will be cutting it down in the windshield area to fit the stock 05 glass sizes.  I went with the 20 cap for the way the rubbers mount in the frame and for the flat on the face.  On that flat I am considering some mods for air horns and lights and such to customize the cap to my liking.  I did not want all that glass to heat or cool either so that is why the change back to the short windshields.  And plus I want to put a stand off light bar right at the flat above the glass.   Now, I raised my roof, and windshield, 12 inches, and my drivers area to level with the coach floor.  So as "theory" goes  the 7 inches Eagle adds to the face flat of the cap will put me in a stock orientation again with the 20 cap and the relation to the roof.  (Are ya ll lost too???)  and then I cut out the center of the mullions to raise the breastplate up to fit the stock location of the o5 and for use of the shorter (stock) windshields.  Hope all this giber makes sense to you..........Steve........

I changed my 05 to the 15 front. I never liked the way toe 05/10 was done. a perfect setup for leaks and rust! The 15/20 is totally different. You can buy the cap from R&M in 1 or two parts. I bought the top and front on two parts. I actually split the space on a 10" roof raise top to bottom. I didn't like the look of all the space at the bottom. The framework can be formed using a tube roll machine with square flanges, or cut and bent. The latter takes a little more time and work. Be sure to allow room between the frame and cap, as it does shift slightly when the coach is in motion. It updates the coach and adds a completely new look for the front. I bought the windshields from Goodsons Bus IN Maiden NC. Frankie is a great help! Windshields are not hard to install, just rope em in with dish detergent. You also have the option of raiding the drivers area with the taller windshields.

Sounds interesting. I'm always interested in seeing pictures if anyone has any. I want to decide what I am going to do before we start the roof raise. Thanks for all the input.

 I have 10 / 15 Eagle my cap is a little different, It has more fiber glass above the windshield, here is a few pictures.

That's a good look, Pete. That looks about like the normal amount of space above a Model 10 windshield anyway.

Did someone say the Model 15/20 glass is 7" taller? So if I raise my roof 10", then I only need to add 3" either above or below the taller windshield? The reason I am asking is because I am also entertaining the idea of raising the driver's seat. I'm wondering if that would put the dashboard too far up into the windshield with the tall glass.
