Things I found under my floor

Well, I finally got all of my floor up and out and in some ways it was more gross than I expected ( I don't usually get grossed out easily) and in other ways it was not too much of a big deal. The compressed piles of hair and crud were sort of sickening in some spots.    I am so glad to have that stuff out of there!

Here is a partial list of what I found:

Wrappers, Ho-Ho's, Twinkies etc.
M&M's....I think that's what they were.
A pair of old glasses
California Lottery stub
Straws
Soda pop tops
Pens
Cig butts
Cig wrappers - parts of them at least
Mouse turds!
About 30 pounds of hair, dust, lint and other grime.

There could have been a 2 caret diamond in there but I wouldn't have ever seen it in the mess!
It's amazing what all got under there.  Another reason I'm glad I tore it out is because I found some rust on the cross member supports that would have just kept going.

What has everyone else who has pulled up a floor found in there?

I didn't tear out my floor but think I found more than that in the ducts. Besides all the hair and dirt there were several CD's playing crds souveneers candy wrappers and over $5 in change of quarters dimes nickels and pennies. Jerry

Dax, Your comment "Another reason I'm glad I tore it out is because I found some rust on the cross member supports that would have just kept going."
is reason enough that the floor should come up, so a good inspection can take place of the health of your bus. You now know what you have under there and you'll have peace of mind after you are finished. You get five Atta Boys for your efforts.

Gumpy,

"Pet the kitty"........I laughed at that one.  Thanks!
I read a post long ago by one of you vets that said that that mess started to stink when the humidity got high.  That is a revolting thought....My bus smells like rotting human hair and mouse sh@t occasionally.  Now that is NOT a joke.  Rip up the floor and clean and insulate it.

Thanks, Gumpy,

John

I didn't find any mouse turds but it was a highway coach between Boston and DC, I found, money, election buttons, tour tickets for the White House and those files that Hillary lost while in the White House!

That isn't the point, if one had been there I likely wouldn't have seen it.

Hey now!  The only item missing from the tons of docs they DID turn over was the detailed monthly charges from one stinking month and that load of docs covered years worth of charges.  The big stink was over their supposed "hiding" of data.  When it surfaced, that one month, exactly matched the "Summary charges" sheet for that month that she had originally provided.  I only saw that mentioned in the general press once.  That a "work sheet" was missing?  That was front page stuff for weeks.

She kept those records for 15 years or so and paid the storage.  She isn't required to keep them at all.  A friend testified that the friend had asked why she kept "all this old junk"?  Hilliary is supposed to have replied that someday somebody would accuse them of corrupt practice and she wanted the records to prove their had been no impropriety.  She was right to have done so.  Its a shame she had to be.

They crucified them for who slept in the Lincoln bedroom.  Anybody have a clue as to who has slept in that bedroom in the past six years?  How about the sine in sheet for White House visitors?  Travel records?  Who sat in on the National Energy Policy meetings.  I know those things are all trivia and I hope you will excuse my ruining a "good yarn".  Executive Privilege?  Arrogance?

Impeached for lying to a reporter!  Read the paper lately?  "We know they have WMDs and they are located a little north and a little west and south of Bagdad"  Rumsfield before the war.  You are going to see a lot of blanket pardons when this draws to a close.  Skooter already got a pass from the "Hanging Gov".

When I first got my Crown ex-schoolie 6 years ago,  I still had connections in law enforcement locally soosss had a friend with a sniffer dog run thru the coach as kinda a training exercise.  Three areas of interest, but found nothing.  With an ex-schoolie and todays kids, we thought it was a good idea to do a look see and sniff.  Ya never know what could have been stashed somewhere.  :) :) :)

We found a very old gerber baby juice can in our walls.  The best thing I found was $1.36 in change on the floor.  You wonder why that is so neat??? Because we only paid $1.00 for the bus so she paid for herself with change.  Pretty kewl I think!  Cat

Everything I found other than dirt, hair and grime is in a large baby food jar.

Some change, a token, earring, campaign button.

I keep it on the coach in case the owner(s) come looking for it!  :P
