Most images I take are too high resolution to put on the web.  Here is an image resizer that allows you to take an image, right click on it, and it will create an image that is low resolution.  Ergo, smaller file size, one that can be attached to posts here.

The easiest way,

1-first download the plug-in from Microsoft....
click

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

and scroll down to image resizing, the link is on the right side of page, to get it and then install it...

2-in WindowsXP browse to the image file in Windows Explorer, right-click on it, and select "resize picture".
It will give you 4 size options and allow you to select a size,
normally small and Medium are good choices,

Maybe loading up this board with photos isn't such a good idea, but I like seeing other peoples projects.  g

Thanks very much for the tip. I will be sure and include it in a photo posting tip when I get one made.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a good Reisling in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:  WOO HOO, what a ride

gh,

Will this work on Win98??

I have a graphics program that will downsize sometimes and sometimes it won't?

I don't think so Gus. It says for Windows XP when you go to the site.
