mc9 vin number question

We removed the and replaced the front and rear caps. The VIN was in the original cap. I have the original ID plate but it is not attached. Tomorrow I go and have it inspected for import into Ky.
      Is the Vin anywhere else on the bus? I am not sure if they will accept the plate since it has been removed. Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks

not sure about a MC-9, but on the MC-8 there is also an ID plate in the rear on the bulkhead above and behind the blower gear box.  Open the rear engine compartment doors, then open the blower compartment door, and look above and behind the blower gearbox. It should be on the bulkhead.  Hope this helps, Jack
