Hey Fellas  On the DD 8 V 92's Is there a certain Anti Freeze I needto use ? I know it's 50 /50 blend But is there a Brand I thought I read somwhere that It was not supposed to have silicon in it . Any hanks elp would be great . Thanks Andy

The latest information I was given about anti-freeze indicated that there is no longer Orange and Green.  Now it's all supposed to be green. The only variation from that would be if you have an aluminum block...which could require a special blend because of that.  As far as I know DD did away with aluminum blocks back in the 60's in the 6-71T series because of the difference in the rate of expansion between the heads, blocks and oil pans (in the Marine models).

Now, this is hearsay information given to me by my friendly parts guy who, under normal circumstances, couldn't find his butt with both hands.

No doubt there'll be a better source of information forthcoming and a number of us will get our eyes opened to more technical information on a serious subject to all of us.

there is still orange and green.

Not all green types are compatable and possibly not all orange.

Cat Coolant is still orange as of the gallon I got a few weekes ago
