My God what happened to the home page.

tekebird

went back and forth and now it is right....thats weird.  been acting up for me for the past two  days

Me, too. There's likely been a changeover of IP addresses or something on MAK... and DNS and cache settings on our browsers are playing catch-up. Sometimes it just times out altogether.

We are keeping an eye on the situation.  Thanks for posting the message.  Sometimes I wonder whether it is just my connection, browser, etc...  I've run some fixups, but suspect we may still have a few irregularities.  There may be a few maintenance jobs run this evening as well.

Phil,

FYI

I was on the board on the same computer, logged out, an hour later took 6 attempts to get on MAK.

Thanks

Hmmmm. . . I wonder.

I just upgraded my Firefox browser day before yesterday, and after doing so, MAK has been squirrelly.  Often have to hit "refresh" three times for it to come up properly.

Wonder if it's the upgrade, or if others who are using IE are experiencing the same hiccups.

Might be a clue?

Phil, for you information, it took several attempts to get on. All other favorites come up first time in micro seconds. This time it went to the newer version, last several times it went to the older version. I had to bounce back and forthe between other sites before MAK would come up. :'(

i updated my shortcut in IE 7 and it seems to be workign better/faster now.  some change may have been made to dns or the location, but i suspect changing your shortcut will help.

for those that may be as challenged on computers as i am on buses, go to the main "all topics" and clik the address in the bar at top, right clik and select copy.  make sure all of it was highlighted.  go to favorites, right clik on the mak bbs favorite that you were using, select properties, and type in or paste  it into the URL line overtop of the one already there.  clik ok to save it.  close the ie window, then reopen and try your new shortcut.

you could also just delete the old favorite and create a new one.

if this wasn't clear, now you understand why i'm not sure which dipstick i was supposed to check or what kind of ATF goes in what hole when you help me with bus problems sometimes.   ;)

Hi yo silver

For what it's worth, I had such a hard time, not only with this BB, but in general, I took the POOTER to the shop, figured I had picked up a virus.  Well, it didn't even have a COLD.  I don't know what happened; they shouldn't even let electronically challenged people like me OWN a computer...
