We just got back Sunday from a really good rally in Elkhart.  George and Sue Myers have been hosting this rally to scan through the surplus RV stores in the area.  they provided maps and summary information about each store, so we all took our shopping lists and hit the stores.  12v lights, interior, exterior, tanks (black, grey and combined), slide out motors, cables (50a 25 ft $65), and so on.
We had about 20 buses including a 1947 (?) Spartan that looks like an airplane fusilage with wheels sort of.  Couple Eagles, couple prevosts, a few MCI's, and some GMC's.
in no time, we had a crowd around Mike and I looking at places to mount our cruise control, then the crowd moved over to fix the jakes on a prevost with an 8v92.  many opinions, calls, trials, and one guy standing by with a hammer (in case of a run-away) later, it was fixed and operating.
Next project was a kubota that wouldn't start.  turned out to be a fuel adjustemnt something or other that was stuck.  a little manual lub and movement got it broke loose, but a lot of looking at various things before it got fixed.
i saw and hopefully learned a few things from the more learned members like Ed Roelle and George Myers.
this is my second year and i'll be there next year.
By the way, i ran about $200 worth of biodiesel just to try it out.  seemed to work great and our "Just Cruisin" did just that right down the turnpike and back with no problems other than too many slow vehicles.  ;)

anyone around next year should attend.
