Tried to start the bus this morning and it wouldn't even turn over.

Can't understand it.  Any ideas !!

It's definitely, possibly, maybe a corroded weaver pin malfunction.

Try dropping in some new muffler bearings through the portable hole with your sky hook.

hello
turn on head lights and see if they are bright . have someone check brightness when you hit the stater switch. listen for some kind of clicking sound. and start to work from there. one time my prevost went dead and would not make a sound and only one head light would work. and this was when i was on the road. tried to call for road service and no one came . i checked batterys and they showed hot and i turned the battery disconnect off and on serveral times and sure enough it fired off.  dirt can get in mine,  hope this helped. j.t.

Chris,

First, You were one of my first inspirations with your 4905...."Blush"..... :-*

Second, As you have an older model 4905 than my NEWER 1975 model, I looked at the same angle as your picture on mine.

They made A BUNCH of changes on the 1975 model, They added this big green thing (not sure what it does)

Good luck on your starting problem..... ;D

Looking at the picture is seems that you may need to replace your chrome reverse muffler bearing.  As you well know, these things seize over time.  The new ones for commercial service have an unobtainium lining that keeps them from seizing, but our applications really won't benefit from that; just put a little 3 in 1 oil on it every time you adjust the slack adjusters, and things should be fine.  Other than that it looks like you have areal quiet runner there!
