Hello all,

Question:  Can I connect all of the rope lights together in one long run or do I have to break up the circuits?  I have 12V 3/8 inch rope light from Elkhart.

Thanks,
Danny
I have heard it said, "life comes at you fast".  I didn't know it would be in the shape of a bus  :-)

Danny that is a good question. How many "runs" are you using?
Are you gonna want all of them on together all the time, or would you like to be able to turn certain areas of at times? Any idea of how many amps they draw per "run"? Personally I'd probably separate them into 2 or more circuits, just for the ability to turn 'm on separately and for ease of trouble shooting in the future! FWIW

Have ya heard ya got a new busnut neighbor over in yer neck of the woods? Dr.Dave has landed over that way!

Yep, I think we need some more information here to give you the answers.

You mentioned "rope light from Elkhart".  Is that one of the RV surplus places in Elkhart?  A company/brand name?

There is a company with a website called cheapropelight.com that has an Elkhart, IN address. Is this who we are talking about?    Is so, they have different models of 12V lighting, some with minature incandescent bulbs, and some that are LED based. Different beasts.
If you're going to be dumb, you gotta be tough.
