need low water sending unit

The low water sending unit is almost $200 from US Coach.
Does anybody know where I can get a used part for an MC9?
I leave for the pacific coast next week and don't want to spend that much for this part, although I will if I have to.

Which route ya taking?
If you are coming through my neck of the woods you could have the part shipped here and we'll install
here if the time lines don't work out for you at home(drop ship thing). Besides I wouldn't mind talking to someone from
Bemidji (lived there a couple of years growing up... Learned to play hockey there and what else does one do in the winter?)

Sorry but no logs to cut on my place so it would probably would be a short stay for you

If your low water sending unit is like mine, Kysor 5022-02187-04, I repaced mine for $35.93 delivered. ($25.75 plus tax, ship. and handling)

I was on the Isspro site last night and they make the low water sensors in both 12v and 24v, and for much cheaper. I just ordered my electronic 3000rpm tach with hour meter and with mounting cup and was about $160. Personally like Isspro better than Stewart Warner. SW makes their tach at 3500rpm-of which I'll never get near. Isspro just has more selection of gauges. And they are made on the West coast, since I live in L.A. Good Luck, TomC

Isspro is the gauge and sender I installed for my fuel tank, works great. Like TomC said the price was right.

Try removing it and wiping it off with a coarse towel. These senders tend to develop a coat of "slime" on them over the years, and then they stop working (usually reading "low coolant" all the time).

Wiping the sender off has worked for me twice now -- still on the original sender from 20+ years ago.
