Catch Can for air box drains on a 2 stroke

Those wanting a catch can, Amazon has the Espeeder aluminum catch can with the breather for less than 30 bucks since I don't do links just type in Espeerder on Amason you cannot make it for 30 bucks I ordered 1 for Tom and Van,I didn't order the mounting brackets I can build those for less than $17 bucks.The Vincos is a better buy @ 20 bucks buy but does not have a breather

Thanks BW ,Amazon has a big assortment to choose from at good prices,but on the 2 strokes you do not want one without the breather since the air box drains are under pressure

Yeah but we all know the only green associated with a two stroke would be it's color and it keeps me from being a liar when I tell people admiring the bus that I have a green engine! Lol

Couldn't you use the breather-less one if you just leave the 'Out' port open to atmosphere?  That'd do the job of catching the drips I'd think.

It works but it makes for a big mess in time BTDT. We had a catch can for 5 years on it and finally did away with it as it never really caught oil to pool just kind of blew it through to make a bigger mess.

The aluminum 6-71's were painted blue and was a ugly blue, and you know the Gray Marine were painted gray, Stewart and Stevenson sent their special built 6L-71's painted red it was a nice shade of red,when it was a red S/S 6L71 you knew to take a 3-rotor blower with you

   It seems to be a good idea  - - - -  I just ordered one.   I have noticed a lot of oil leaking from the drain lately.

:^Dan you supposed to drain the catch cans,adding steel wool to one stops the blow through.I picked the one out because it has a dip stick and breather, I will add the steel wool if needed

The oil never accumulated, I think it was blowing it right through. I guess I should have tried steel wool.
I kinda reminds me of a Racor I ran for a lot of years. Never saw a stitch of water in the bowl so eventually I removed it.

Looking at the dimensions of these catch cans, it seems that one would be perfect for the inline 71s, but two would probably work better for the V models, either 71s or 92s, installing one for each bank. Your thoughts?

They are about the same capacity as the Air/Sep system, I like the idea of maybe 2 though and they are cheap enough, the price of a stick of 4 inch PVC cost over 50 bucks then the caps are 10 bucks each plus the rest of pieces to build one,I am going to mount Tom's  where it is a easy access for service,the drains under pressure should have any problems pushing the oil in the drains up
