Two times in a row. I don't think he will take my calls anymore...
Little recessed dome light over my stairs. Looks like E 36 on the bulb. Luke thinks it is 12 volt and used in headlamps. Said to check auto parts guys. I did. Four of them looked at it and said "Nope".
That socket is 24 volt. I see some on line but they are halogen. I can try them and will have to change the other 3 but guess that may be only option.

For al the 24v problems to go awaym just convert to 12v via buck converter or DC-DC. These are not all that small but you get the idea. For practically nothing, you wire in 24v andd 12 out. and done

I put two paperclips in the holes at the advice of a BGM guy and multimeter read 24V right away just like Bob Glines said it would. I have 2 kinds of bulbs on the way including G4 ones. We will see what works. Thanks for the help guys.

I had the same type of light on the old coach but they were 12 v and replaced them ( 48 in total ) with led bulbs but because they were 12 v the price and selection were a lot cheaper and a lot more choices

I am trying to stay away from LED. My old eyes just find it a little harsh. Did you replace with same wattage or drop down a little?
I hear they create less heat, take less electricity and last longer. All true?

Yes, yes, and yes.

Also LEDs come in "warm" white, "cool" white, and "daylight" white, plus other colors. I have found the warm color works best in the bedroom, daylight in the front salon, entry steps, galley and above the mirror over the sink in the bathroom (the rest in there are warm white.)

I've gotten LEDs from SuperBrightLEDs.com, but there are other sources.

Thanks RJ. I have not seen any options like you mentioned for the little bulbs. I will check out that website and if other interior lights fail I may come over to the dark side...

LED's are tough on my eyes too even the dimmable in the coach give me trouble, I don't drive any longer after dark because of the LED's

I'm the same. If I am driving after dark it is a navigational error or got stuck on the Interstate when the sun went down. Another thing to add to the list of
"I wish I was born much earlier so I could maybe be gone before:"
Cell phones.
Taking off my shoes at TSA.
Plumbing that is now blue tubing and I don't know how it works.
Electric Lawn Mowers and Chainsaws.
Seeing the President (any President) on TV more than twice a year.
Enough people from the NE moved to Florida and brought toll booths with them.

Final entry on this subject.
Got 24V bulbs from bulbs.com and bingo. Thanks to Dave5cs for that website. They are LED but I tried a 10 wat and its a little dimmer than the other one. Will try the 24 wat and if good will change out the second light. The pins fit perfectly and the picture shows the result. dimmer light is the new one but only 10 wats. Will try  the 24 wat later. Had to run off before I could try it!
