Retarder works!

Hello all,

Since buying this bus last November, I have been carefully opening up issues, so to speak, one at a time.

On this trip I decided to carefully see if the retarder works, etc.

It all seems to work fine.  I haven't tried it on any super steep grades yet, but I do use it to slow down.

I don't notice a great deal of difference when I pull back the joy stick, but maybe I need more aggressive down grades to have that do much.

Anyway, another system that seems to be working fine.

Next I would like to open the water valves and see if I can get any heat to circulate up front for the driver.

Yes, I understand how that works.

Thanks

Tranmsission downshift, use the retarder for the finer speed adjustment.

Retarder alone is what starts the cooking.

Happy coaching!
