as for two stroke leaks, add a walker air sep. all the boats use them to keep bilge clean. gm started using a cheaper version starting on 81 5.7 diesels. eliminated the leaks. they use it on all diesels to current.
called a crankcase depression valve.

Heard from a Fella that lives outside of Sacramento,  If you have a 2 Stroke , CARB will be checking for oil leaks on engine also. Park you if it leaks. That'll put a lot of the 2 Strokes on the curb. Red Tag you and won't let you leave, Has to be towed..

I made my own version of a Walker Air Sep, using a 96 fl.oz juice bottle from Costco and some 3/8" ID tube from each slobber (sorry, "air box drain") valve.   The bottle fits nicely inside the rear bumper.   I can now easily see how much oil from each side is going into the bottle.   Easy!

Use good gaskets and Delvac 1240 engine oil and they don't leak anyways

most out there leak a lot because they need a rebuild.

Some can be rebuilt, some not. Best just to replace them both. DieselPro in Fla is one place to get them.
