Don is teaching at a community college he no longer works on 2 strokes ,I stay in touch with Don

Nope different Don(Windtrader) is from Sacramento used to live by me when I lived in California.

I've tried several times to get hold of Don-not sure he's around anymore. Cliff-if you have a phone number that works, I'd sure like to talk to Don too. Good Luck, TomC

He is still around he was last week,I will PM you a cell number he is doing good and seems happy with teaching young people in mechanic work

Clifford, Do you think he would talk to one of my Wanderlodge buddies with a 6V92? He is a pretty good wrench and is overhauling his engine. He wants to turn it up a little and also find some info on the cam timing. His engine was built to California specs & he would like to see what can be done within reason but can't find info. Or would you be willing to talk to him?

A number of years ago Don told me to change the injector and Jake settings and what a difference it made. Been happy with the results ever since. Great guy and very knowledgeable.

Oddly enough I just saw this post yesterday for the first time. I was about to give Dona ring to see what was up, as I hadn't heard from him in ages either. But my phone was on the charger in the truck and I didn't want to sit in a hot truck talking so I put it off, and got sidetracked an forgot. Well before I got home my sister called me and told me she'd just gotten a text from Don saying he had been getting any response to calls or texts to me and was wondering if I was mad at him or something. Well I hadn't been getting any calls or texts from him (at least that I knew of).
So I fired off a text to him and he responded within a few minutes. And while neither of us knows what happened to those missing calls/texts we did communicate for a short period and he is doing fine working at a community college teaching lazy unmotivated and uninterested students! (he ain't enjoying it, and is planning to hang it up at the end of the year)

So those of you that have his #, it's still the same # I have had for years and yes he will respond to texts. (he might not answer the phone or text right away if he's in class, but he did respond!)
Funny how I was just thinking of calling him and he got a hold of me (even if it was through my sister!).
