Yikes Chessie. "How to cook a Prevost". Do you have TPMS?  Curious how much the tire temp/pressure varies at 120. And does rolling down the highway cool them??
Get out of there before your paint cracks.

Have tpms on truck and tt. Only drove truck. Tire pressure increased 10 lbs. over base setting. Normal day goes up 6.
Interesting observation. There was a new Jeep covered in black and white came to hide the final details from the camera guys. He was stopped at intersection where temps hit 121 degrees. He was looking at a computer screen just to right of steering wheel. Didn't  move as we lost sight of him. Also saw two people in all white outfits sort of jogging a piece and then a car that appeared to be a bicycle chase car. Nothing else, no prairie dogs, no lizards, no nutin.
We commented it would be a good location to install 100 square miles of solar panels. Then, Death valley would be good for something

Clifford  the borax mine reminds us of our last good president. Ronald staring on 20 mule team days.
The last few years of his term i do not think he even knew who he was.  did a great job though.

I was standing out side the bus and my feet started to get warm so I shot the ground temperature and  it was 201 degrees, the old tale of people freezing to death at night time in death valley is just a tale the temps don't drop that much at night

Solar panels lose efficiency like crazy as temps go up.  Sunlight = good.  Heat = bad.

Lowest temp ever in Death Valley is 15*.......
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.

Death Valley is absolutely beautiful October through March. Zabrinski Point at sunrise is breathtaking. One of our favorite areas, but you must appreciate the beauty of the desert.

Any body coming to LV from the south or east on US93 or 95, will see thousands of acres of solar voltaic fields, this new part surrounds Boulder City to the south, all within the extended city limits...

Seems like the farm grows 10 acres a week it is about to cover the dry lake now and on both sides of the highway.I notice the last batch remotely follows the sun

If it is on CA side, then no surprise due to the state directives and goals to be carbon neutral in not too many years

It is just outside Vegas ,they were going to build a 9000 acre farm @ Battle Born (Overton) Nev but the people put a stop to it because it was Chinese owned Harry Reid's son Rory was involved and the rancher Bundy case blew it out of the water

We just passed by Palm Springs exit on I-10. Couple hundred wind turbines. Only about 10 were barely turning.
We passed the couple thousand solar panels outside Las Vegas. Yes the newest ones are designed to rotate that we saw near the road. Those were parallel to road to follow sun. There were many that were perpindicular, that wouldnt benefit by rotation. Probably were older ones.
