I have a 1980 shorty Prevost. That is 40 years old, but a pup compared to what some of you have. So I am guessing there is a trick I have not tried that somebody out there knows about...?.
I have two slider windows on opposing bedroom walls. We got this bus in November and previous owner said windows are stuck, but he never opened them anyway. I super cleaned the tracks which had dust and gunk. Being gentle with them since they are 40 years old and afraid to see what breaking one would cost. I tried window lube, teflon lube, silicone lube, and one window now moves freely. Unfortunately the other is still pretty stiff. Guess who's side of the bed that one is on, and she likes her window opened at night. It seems to be binding in the middle of the frame as I move it back and forth. Any magic sauce I have not thought of or just keep using the ones above and working it gently?. It worked on my side.....of course.

Carefully jack the frame  opening a touch. You'll know if that'll help quickly.

I didn't think of that....  Sounds smart, but dangerous. I have a handy man, but that is the Marine coming out in me. Always starting of with too much gun powder. Just a pump jack and maybe a block of wood on top as close to center as I can get???
Thanks Chessie. I'll try something gentle when the sun comes up.

Jig-A-Loo is a silicone based lube that works well.

before jackong, you need to be sure whether the binding is up and down or side to side.

Thanks guys. I put the jack on it this am but as it got a little tight it made a sound. A bad sound. Will just keep working silicone and try the other products listed. It is a little bit better after the bad sound....
I don't recommend that technique.

that sound was probably one of the other windows falling out of the track.😆

Too funny Chessie. But it reminds me of the window A/C unit I put in our bedroom when my little buttercup started to get ...warm..at night. I should say the second A/C unit. The first one: I was trying to perfect the little luvered side things you open each direction. Decided opening the window just a touch would make moving the luvers easier. It was a lot easier when it all went out the window to the concrete about 28 feet below. Back to Home Depot. Nice move Maverick....
