This is on a 56 gmc 4104 air filter failure something I missed during purchase I dropped two of em looked good wish I would have dropped the third...lesson learned the hard way What kind of parts costs am I looking at to rebuild blower? Also how much is rebuild kit for the gm 71 series motor?

What other diagnostics have you done to determine that you need a rebuild on either the blower or the engine?

What kind of air filter was that (what was it made of)?

Wow! Nasty miss. Looks to be oem rusted steel wool media including frame pieces. After this happened would the blower turn freely or was it locked up? We completely disintegrated a blower and the engine was still running afterwards.

And you got lucky the old 6-71 got you home before it gave up the ghost  lol

If thats oem, would have been soaking in water for years
