If I understand you correctly, I would just need a Pro/Link Plus with a DDEC II cartridge for my 1992 Prevost with the 8V92T?

What cartridge would I need for the ATEC Allison HT-754?

Get the right cartridge for the DDEC ll  as I mention the cartridge for the DDEC ll and lll will not read the early DDEC ll  good luck with finding a cartridge for the ATEC 700 series they were just around for a short period (2 years ) if you find a cartridge it make work or may not they sell for $$$

I'm all about saving money so finding a GM prolink and the ddec module separately appeals to me, but I want to avoid buying the prolink twice.

The Pro/link MPSI won't work on your Protocol shop and buy a Pro/link Plus

 The cartridges in the 3 I picked up are a Allison ATEC 1 cartridge a Allison and World Transmission Cartridge and (2) DDEC 1 and 11 from the pics. Will know more when I pick um up in Houston next week. Also got a KENT MOORE J-37164-A DDEC SENSOR TESTER. Don't know what the heck that is but looked intriguing.  .

Walter the scanner tells you what engine, the DDECs are all the same for the 60 or 2 strokes only different versions on both ,they even cover the CNG with spark plugs if have one
