Yes, check on eBay, they will show up from time to time. Just make sure they are compatible with the model you get. New old stock will also pop up occasionally. I got the II & III cartridges that way, Version 5.2, and the Allison ver 4.0., adapters and case. Don't forget to get the appropriate operators manuals.

So, what would be required to update a, say an 8V-92 from DDEC 2 to 4? Besides the ecm and wiring.

After my first Pro-Link was stolen, I bought another scanner (for less than $100, complete with case, printer and all cables!) and a brand-new unused DDEC II/III cartridge for not much more, but the cartridge didn't work.   Thinking it was the scanner itself, I bought another scanner for cheap, but that didn't work either.   Damn.   So I bought another cartridge, this time for DDEC I/II, and everything worked!   Just be patient, and one will show up on eBay.

The cheapest way to buy Pro-Links for early DDECs is to buy one for late-1980s / early 1990s GM cars, throw away the GM cartridge, buy a DDEC cartridge, and it will still cost less than a complete DDEC Pro-Link!   And why old GM cars?   They use the same 12-pin diagnostic connector so you won't need to buy the $55 adapter cable, and any GM cars of that era are probably long gone by now so their scanners are now seen as almost worthless.

I have a Kent/Moore for a DDEC 1 the scanner fits inside the cartridge

Hang on to the ATEC scanner Mastercard won't buy those now,John the  cartridge may not be bad when Motorola started manufacturing the DDEC ll about the middle of ,the run it takes the ll and lll cartridge, the  DDEC l and early DDEC ll takes the l and ll cartridge. You have watch buying cartridges or you end up with a box full that doesn't work for your application, now you pay a yearly license fee to the jerks for use of their software

Which things would you buy for the '96 MCI?

Jim
I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

luvrbus

Just buy the Pro/Link Plus with the cartridge for your DDEC version, no need for the Allison cartridge for the B500 you can use the shift pad for codes lol you can flash the codes on the DDEC too if you can count fast enough the Pro/Link does make it easier though.I have the printer too they are a waste of money IMO

Clifford -

If I understand you correctly, I would just need a Pro/Link Plus with a DDEC II cartridge for my 1992 Prevost with the 8V92T?

What cartridge would I need for the ATEC Allison HT-754?
