GM 4106 conversion wanted

Well for one thing and maybe the most important is that my wife doesn't like it. We have a nice fifth wheel to travel in and she just doesn't get the bus thing. I've really enjoyed working on it and repairing all the stuff that was not working when I got it. I'm going to drive it a little not much but when I get all the stuff that needs fixed fixed I will put it out there for someone else to enjoy. That is unless she rides in it and really sees just how nice it is to travel in. I have been amazed by it.

The good thing about wives and their opinions is that they can change without any rhyme or reason. The bad thing is the same. Since it's mostly based on emotion anyway there's little we can do about it except wait and hope. Well, other than to make it nicer inside than the alternative. I think that right there is why we see so many very nice bus conversions. Left up to us guys they'd probably look more like a rustic camp inside, with weird adaptations that nobody else would comprehend. That probably wouldn't be a good thing.

If she has a sister or BFF, invite them along and play chauffeur though I think that would require a third captains seat LOL!!!

Could you post a pic or 2 of the driver/co pilot area and the bathroom and bedroom? Also an external pic or 2 if you get the time.
What are the mechanicals like? Motor/trans rebuilt? How old are tires? What's the water capacity?

The tires are new. Have 1500 miles on them. The engine is a factory rebuilt silver series 6V92TA that was done in 2004. It runs great. V730 trans.

Not sure about water size.

I have been working through some issues with it now. Have replaced two front air bags, a back relay brake valve that was leaking. Also replaced the fuel gauge, and transmission temp gauge and sender. Have worked on the speedometer but it still doesn't work right, looking at a GPS one in the near future. It has a 7KW Onan with a Kubota engine. The engine runs great but having issues with the electric output. Planning on working on that in a couple of weeks. The back AC doesn't work and chances are I will not replace it unless I keep it for a while. It has three stainless tanks but needs some plumbing repairs that I will get to also. The paint sucks but it is what it is. My intention is to have it very drive-able. It really is now but getting better. Currently working on the wipers. Me and my buddy have been doing all the work on it. Learning a lot about old buses.

It has an air shifter, air throttle, cruise control. I drove it from Calif in three days and it didn't use any oil at all. Ran really well. Got right at 7 MPG.

I don't know if the headlight assemblies on this bus are original or not, but they look identical to the quad lights on Model 15 Eagles. That might be handy information for someone.

It's a good looking bus. I realized I'd seen it on that zombie site sellabus.com.

I'm thinking about 20k. It has all new tires on it now. Two new airbags. Most if not all the air leaks have been fixed. The wipers motors and controls have been rebuilt and replaced. Next on my list is the generator. Kubota engine runs like a champ but no output. That will be fixed. The bus will be in great shape mechanically. The paint sucks but someone else will have to address that.
