what is the flow rate & pressure for a V-730 transmission, looking to up grade oil cooler.

Hayden recommends the model 1292 trans oil cooler for the v730 for use as stand alone cooler. It is 24x24x 1 1/2 inches. Your trans door is large enough to mount this on. Carefully cut a hole a little smaller than the cooler in the door with rounded corners to avoid stress cracks down the road, mount and also install a temp controlled fan on the inside. Reports of 10 to 15 degree engine temp  drop have been reported in past posts. Some retain the existing oil to oil cooler. I wouldn't.  Doing that negates at least half the benefit of the external cooler. And if you have concern about trans running too cold in cold temps, you could block part of the opening at those times, although I feel it would be unnecessary. Have never seen trans issues from running too cool. Now electronic trans, that's  another issue as it would effect temp sensors and put trans in limp mode possibly??
If you look up Carid for Hayden trans coolers, they have a pdf for Allison transmissions and recommended coolers. Using a cooler from a car or truck, wouldn't  allow the required oil flow because the tubes would be too small.
Btw, you can buy this and other models on Amazon ,Ebay, or NAPA.

I added the Hayden 1" fitting cooler with thermostatically controlled electric fan. I plumbed it in line with my existing coolant cooled tube cooler. The hot trans fluid first goes through the Hayden cooler then to the tube cooler then back to the transmission. This is done to take alot of the heat out of the transmission fluid first before hitting the tube cooler to ease the heat rejection back to the engine. Also, the advantage of keeping the tube cooler is that in cold weather, it actually keeps the transmission warm, and warms up the transmission faster in the morning. Good Luck, TomC

Hayden lists coolers for use WITH the existing cooler and WITHOUT. The without models are larger. If the coach trans runs cold in cold weather ( doubtful), you could either block off some of the cooler with a removable cover or not remove tube cooler temp. and plumb it into the system if necessary. Without would remove coolant lines and  liquid cooler providing less clutter in engine compartment.
If you mount the cooler on transmission door, be sure to allow enough slack in lines to fully open door, without slack rubbing against components when closed.
